Ah! good question.. I will be then 77 yrs old.
Well, I believe we will be dependant on Robo's for each and every work whether it is Kitchen cleaning, Cooking, gizmo cars and what all we see in SiFi movies like Star Wars, Terminator (Indeed Terminator is the closest one).
We will be Jerks! We will fly to Moon as our primary home (Earth is already in DOOM Phase). When we have eaten up all the resources of Moon then our next target would be other planets/Galaxy :-)

| In 2050, I think life would be more difficult than nowadays. I say that as large amounts of ground resources have stared to come to an end. They start rising up prices. If nowadays, in 2010 you can drive your car without being worried, I consider that it will be very hard to take a ride in 2050 as the oil resources are about to end. The industrialization huge towns’ degree will lead to the huge decreasing degree of the quality of air, things that are going to make life very hard in 2050. |

| I do not know if I want to imagine what life will be like over forty years. Yet now appeared huge difference compared to my childhood, to take a closer example. Technological evolution produces large changes in daily life. Today it has begun replacing human labor with the robotic. In medicine, there are devices that perform extremely complicated operations, operations of an extraordinary precision, which no human hand could perform. Another area that has suffered dramatic transformations is continuously suffering architecture and construction of living spaces. Living space is one of the most serious problems of the contemporary world. Therefore, man has designed and constructed buildings that a few years ago did not dream of. All these have brought great transformations environment and will continue to do so in coming years. Considering all these trends, 2050 will be characterized from my point of view by a more pronounced agglomeration of the planet, the disappearance of green space and a more pronounced pollution. Above, however, industrial and medical robots will be increasingly common. |

Doom Phase is the wrong way to view it. MASSIVE change yes, but not doom. We will all have to navigate down the downside of the energy bell curve. We will all be in it together. This will mean we all have to increase the amount of cooperation because of increased interdependence to create resources like community, food and self realization. I think it will be a more rewarding and self actualized time for most people.
2050 will be an era of electrified infrastructure. Electricity will be our most important energy resource and we will increasingly rely on the Sun for this energy. I say increasingly but it will be a vast mix. This means the semiconductor and digital revolution will continue and will be very important as mobility will be in decline due to a lack of mobile fossil based fuels.
2050 will mean an increasingly local life as local community, food and resources will be primary to everyone's life. An ironic twist will be more communication both local and international via digital means at the same time. So more gardening and less travel. |
